Big City, Small Story: A Spontaneous Act of Wits

There isn't anything interesting in this video. The event after, is. The clown, Funny, once performed at the entrance of Times Square, Hong Kong. The shopping mall complained to the police and had him arrested. A judge threw out the case, citing absurdity of the charge. Later, the public found out the shopping mall might have violated its land use in that particular area. So the clown performed again. The mall complained and three policemen arrived.

If the clown picked up the moneys he earned from the ground, he would be charged with illegal street vending. So Funny just waited, hoping the police would leave. Of course, the police wouldn't leave when he was there. The deadlock lasted more than two hours.

The audience wanted to leave too. A woman thought of a solution. She picked up the moneys and handed them to the police, saying they were lost moneys found. In this way the clown could claim the moneys at the police station. Saving Funny a trip, the policemen simply asked, "Funny, are these moneys yours?" Funny said yes. The police then told the woman to return the moneys to the owner.

Funny got his moneys with no arrest. Everyone clapped.

警察叔叔唔捉賊而要同小丑棟篤企,時代廣場浪費警力。大家都遵守遊戲規則。但同時亦演出一場即興溫情show。
